Virgin America, known for its upscale service at discount prices, is expanding its coverage to a second Florida destination and a new Texas stop, as well as two Mexican cities.
West Coast to Orlando, Florida
As of October 6, 2010, travelers can fly from two West Coast cities nonstop to Orlando.
Fly from Los Angeles to Orlando for rates as low as $149 each way. Fly from San Francisco to Orlando for rates as low as $199 each way. From these California cities, it's also possible to connect on to Seattle, San Diego and Las Vegas for a slightly higher fare.
West Coast to Dallas, Texas
Starting December 1, 2010, Virgin America will operate twice-daily flights between LAX and Dallas. San Francisco to Dallas will start shortly after, on December 6, 2010, also with twice-daily flights.
Tickets start at $149 for seats in the main cabin, with connections to Seattle, San Diego and Las Vegas also available.
West Coast to Mexico
Virgin America starts a five-times weekly schedule from San Francisco to San Jose del Cabo International airport on December 16, 2010. This airport services the popular vacation city of Los Cabos, on the tip of the Baja Peninsula.
On January 19, 2011, service begins between Los Angeles and the Mexican resort town of Cancun. Virgin America will do one round-trip daily, five times a week.
The next day, on January 20, 2011, the airline will initiate a once daily, three times a week schedule of flights between San Francisco and Cancun.
Flights start at $199 each way for the Mexican destinations.
