JetBlue tries new tactic to lure budget travelers with a special $599 one month flight pass for September 2009.

Starting today through August 21, 2009, the low cost airline is offering a special flight pass that will allow one month of early fall travel anywhere they fly for one discounted price.

The Basics of the JetBlue Promotion

The All-You-Can-Jet pass will allow travelers to visit any of JetBlue’s 56 international and domestic destinations as often as they like within a one month time period. Currently that one month is anytime between September 8 and October 8, 2009.

There are no black-out dates on any routes, travel can be booked up to three days in advance of a flight, and passholders even earn 35 points on the airline’s TrueBlue loyalty program just for purchasing the pass.

The price for the pass is $599 plus tax and it must be purchased by August 21, 2009.

Additional Details of the Pass

All passholders must be members of JetBlue’s free member loyalty program, TrueBlue, to use the pass.

All travel made using the JetBlue All-You-Can-Jet pass must be booked between August 12 and October 5, 2009. The final flight must be on or before the October 8, 2009, end date of the pass.

Changes or cancellations made to any pass reservations can be made without penalty as long as it is at least three days in advance of the flight. Changes or cancellations made less than three days before departure will be subject to JetBlue's $100 change/cancel fee. There will also be a $100 penalty fee for reservations made but not kept and the pass will be suspended until the fee is paid.

The pass is inclusive of taxes and fees for all domestic flights. Additional taxes and fees for Puerto Rico and international flights are not included.

Upgrades to “Even More Legroom” seats on each flight are additional to the pass cost, and range between $10 and $40, depending on the length of the flight. Fees for second and subsequent check-in bags are also additional to the flight pass and apply per flight.

Additional details and fine print on the pass can be found online.

Why This is a Great Deal

Even though JetBlue regularly offers low cost flights to many U.S. destinations, along with several Caribbean routes, the ability to enjoy unlimited flights within the one month period can really present a great savings.

Take a quick getaway every weekend. Explore new places. Hop from city to city. It’s all covered as long as it’s somewhere JetBlue flies, all for the one low $599 pass price. Just a single round-trip flight on JetBlue normally ranges between $200 and $250 for a cross-country trip. Think of the amount of wanderlust that can be quenched with this special pass.
